Godrej's Film Campus: A Game-Changer for Panvel

Godrej Fund Management has signed an MoU with the Maharashtra government at the WAVES Summit 2025 to accelerate the growth of art, media and television across the state by developing a state-of-the-art film and media campus. This landmark partnership signals a major transformation for Panvel, positioning the region as India's emerging entertainment destination.

The project carries a total investment tag of INR20 billion (approximately $236 million) and is projected to generate employment for about 2,500 professionals across various disciplines. Phase one alone will see an investment of roughly $59 million on a sprawling 10-acre parcel. Located at Godrej City, Panvel, an integrated Golf Township, the campus will house AA studios which will serve as a hub for artists, musicians and filmmakers, providing state-of-the-art amenities and world-class production facilities.

For homebuyers in the region, this development represents substantial upside potential. A prediction of future property trends in Panvel states that the Navi Mumbai airport, Mumbai Trans-Harbour link and corporate hubs will make the prices rise more, thus making it an attractive property investment destination. The film campus amplifies this narrative by adding a creative economy layer to an already infrastructure-rich corridor.

The facility will feature AI-enabled production technologies and state-of-the-art amenities to support end-to-end content development.
